Table WINE blog #3 September 23 2014

Hey everyone! We're Open!!

Saturday, September 20th, we opened officially to the public!

We celebrated with Rosé, obvi.

A line up of 6 delicious variations on a theme that included: Baron de Seillac Brut Rosé from Limoux, HuGo sparkling Zweigelt/Pinot from Austria, The Essential Provence Rosé by Richard Betts, Baldassari Rosé of Pinot from the Russian River Valley, Broadbent Vinho Verde Rosé from Portugal and to change the mood completely a bone dry Neromaestri Lambrusco from Emilia Romagna.

The Baldassari  and Neromaestri were the clear front runner favorites. Though, now that I think about it, we did sell out of the Seillac sparkling (my personal favorite), so maybe there were 3 winners for the day.

The sun graced us with its presence for a few hours and we were immensely grateful for it. But even without the sun shining down people stopped in. Friends, family,  and the curious perused our walls as well as a few Gamestop hold outs hoping that their beloved video games had returned. (Our location used to be a Gamestop. It closed about 2 years ago.)

Atticus kept himself and the kids busy while their parents tasted.

With an assist from his bud, Clay.

He also did a little studying during his shift.

We even had a surprise visit from our handy woman/Jane of all trades Emily! (Katie's lil sis)

And we made sure to get a few shots of us with our finished product.

And Emily with her masterpiece...

Yes, folks she made that island herself! No better way to display the bargain wine.

The response from our patrons was so heart warming and positive. We look forward to the coming months and really establishing ourselves in the neighborhood!

We have to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to our pals Erin (@EastBayCru) and Tom (@TomCapo57) for slingin' pink wine for our big day! (Sadly, we got no shots of either of them in action. Next time!)You guys are the best.

So onward and upward. Excelsior! Looking forward to our next exciting tasting in the not too distant future. Stay tuned...
