Muri Grandi is a white table wine made from a blend of Vermentino and Albarola grapes grown on the plain surrounding the ruins of what is called the "Grandi Muri" or “Big Walls” referring to the ancient Roman walls of Luni. Harvest is in mid-September with careful selection of the grapes, soft pressing of just the free must and fermentation at 61 degrees for 15 days with 30 to 40 days on the lees. Aging in stainless steel until February when it is bottled. These vines are grown on soils with a sandy composition with clay fractions producinig an elegant fresh wine with floral and citrus notes. A local “vino da tavola” that over delivers at every step. Drink with everything, and drink often!
